Season for Nonviolence Video Series

The Franciscan Peace Center announces the launch of a new series of daily, one-minute video reflections promoting active nonviolence, recorded by the Sisters of St. Francis, Clinton, Iowa. The reflections will be released each day throughout the annual Season for Nonviolence, beginning January 30.

The Season for Nonviolence is a 64-day observance spanning the memorial anniversary of the assassination of Mohandas K. Gandhi on January 30 and that of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4. Co-founded in 1998 by Arun and Sunanda Gandhi in partnership with the Association for Global New Thought, the Season emphasizes the power of everyday nonviolent choices to advance peace and justice.

The first reflection in the series focuses on the theme of courage. A preview of this opening message is available HERE.

Community members are invited to listen, reflect, and share each daily message. The videos will be posted daily on the Clinton Franciscans website and shared periodically on Facebook. Individuals may also sign up to receive the reflections directly by email by clicking HERE.
