Sister Joan Holland
"I would describe my years of ministry as happy and very
rewarding! As a primary teacher, as well as a Spiritual Campus Minister in an
elementary school, I was challenged but also found every day filled with
surprises. I felt blessed at the opportunities to share my life and their
dreams with parents and children!
The most rewarding and memorable of my ministry experiences
would be seeing the success of students and especially when they returned to
say thanks years later. On a daily basis I found it very rewarding to help a
child smile and feel loved and special!
My hopes and plans for retirement are to have an open door;
to listen to others and to get to know them better and on a deeper level. I
bring my gift of good listening and hope to provide an environment that is
welcoming to all who come to visit.
I also hope that I will be able to deepen my spiritual life
now that more time is available for reading and reflection and taking advantage
of the many spiritual offerings at the Canticle."
