Sister Joan Holland

"I would describe my years of ministry as happy and very rewarding! As a primary teacher, as well as a Spiritual Campus Minister in an elementary school, I was challenged but also found every day filled with surprises. I felt blessed at the opportunities to share my life and their dreams with parents and children!

The most rewarding and memorable of my ministry experiences would be seeing the success of students and especially when they returned to say thanks years later. On a daily basis I found it very rewarding to help a child smile and feel loved and special!

My hopes and plans for retirement are to have an open door; to listen to others and to get to know them better and on a deeper level. I bring my gift of good listening and hope to provide an environment that is welcoming to all who come to visit.

I also hope that I will be able to deepen my spiritual life now that more time is available for reading and reflection and taking advantage of the many spiritual offerings at the Canticle."

You Can Help!

We welcome you, our friends and families, to be partners with us in ministry. The Clinton Franciscans are committed to active nonviolence and peacemaking as a way of life. We serve in nine states (AZ, CA, IA, IA, IN, KY, MO, NM, OR) and in Chulucanas, Peru. Our ministries include: parishes, education at all levels, elder care, social services, health care, speech pathology, spirituality and retreat work.

Come partner with us though your financial support of our congregation. This website will help you decide how you can become a part of our Franciscan family. There are essentially two ways to make a contribution to the work of the Sisters:
  • You can Donate Now by mail or online with your credit card.
  • You can include the Sisters in your estate planning as explained in our Planned Giving section

All donors are remembered daily in the prayers of the Sisters. Thank you for your generosity.
