After four days of contemplative prayer and discussion during Chapter 2012 - quadrennial meetings held in Clinton in late July - the Sisters established a new governance model and elected new leaders. They also approved two Chapter directives to guide their efforts in the next four years.
The new model was developed during a year-long process of study, discussion and prayer. The Clinton Franciscans are now led by a General Leadership Team of three officers: president, vice president and councilor. Two Canonical councilors, who will be consulted in specific situations to fulfill requirements of Catholic Church law, also were elected.
